About Me:

Running is my passion and way of life.

I started off running five years ago with a group of friends. Initially, it began with a few random training sessions. But with the encouragement from them, I took a serious likening on the sport. After completing my first half and full marathon in 2004, I realized my weakness and lack of discipline in my training. This motivated me to join the Mount Faber Safra Running Club in 2006. During my time in the club, I was introducing to lots more to the running world, e.g. gears to wear, training routines, and participating interesting local and overseas races, plus not forgetting of making new friends. :)

I couldn't really remember for sure of how many races I had participated since then. However, every race to me is a new experience and a personal challenge. As time progress, besides aiming for personal best timing, I want to look for different meanings in my run. The FatBird pacer team has offered me such an opportunity for me as a way of giving back to the running community and encouraging more people to take on running like my friends whom did to me before.

Being in the FatBird pacer team is a memorable experience to me. Although every weekend, I woke up at 5.30am and ran at least 20km, but it was never seem tiredness to me even when I had only 3-4 hrs of sleep on the night before. What welcome me were a good sunny weather, cooling sea breeze, and a bunch of jolly running kakis whom brightened my day always. Thank you so much, guys!!
