About Me:
"I Like RED and LOUD! Like BOOMZ!! (I really do but not the zeeebra preens!) and I am working STILL. Oh Wait.. You not interviewing me ah?"
Chia Lat, I haven even start writing my own profile and here I am already trying to crap my way through.
Hi Everyone! I'm Terence aka Terry and sometimes they call me Terrrrrorist! I am like you know...your typical (define typical: kia su, kia see, kia everything!) kinda Singaporean staying in da east who is PASSIONATE about running and giving back what I have learnt to the community through various events and activities, and being a Pacer for SCSM is one of the way for me to do my part for the running community.
I can't run for nuts back in the school and army days. I only started running in late 2007 with the initial goal to lose weight (very typical) and the journey wasn't an easy one at all. BUT! I was determined and with 6 months of hard work plus strict diet, I managed to shed off close to 20kg of fats! (I am seriiiooous! Don't believe you can see my stretch marks :P). And since then I never looked back again to my fatty old days.
Fast Forward >>> A series of events took place and I started joining this very funny group of people calling themselves Team FatBirds, ahem where I eventually became one of the members too as well as a 5hrs 30mins Pacer for SCSM 2008. It was through my team that I learnt more about running, made a whole bunch of buddies and most importantly, learnt how to give each and every runner (including ourselves) the encouragement and support they need to take the next step forward.
This year, 2009, Terry is BACK once again as a Pacer and Group Leader for the 4hrs 45mins pace group. Being a pacer, what matters most to me is to be able to help each and everyone of you cross the finishing line and achieve the targetted timing that you had hoped for. The marathon journey ain't gonna be easy but I will try my very best to make it easy for you. (but of course you must work together with us la..)
I hope my Team of experienced pacers will achieve what we have set out to do on 6th December 2009. So if 4.45 is the timing that you're looking for, then wait no more! Come on board FLIGHT TFB445 and enjoy the journey with us! (Boarding Pass not required. BIB is required)
P/S: Say Hi to me when you see me! I won't bite!! I Promise!
