About Me:
I took up running as a hobby after I have completed my national service. During my army days I only train to pass the IPPT. Running has now become routine to me. Every Sunday I will wake up at 5:30 am to run with my group of friends. I have become so used to going for a run on Sundays that I feel unusual if I do not do it . I completed my 6th full marathon in Singapore last year. To me, running marathon is like managing a project; you need planning/training and commitment in order to succeed.
Being a pacer is something new to me, I think it is totally different as compared to attempting to outdo your personal best. During the past weeks of pacer training I have learnt a lot of new things in running and not forgetting knowing new friends who enjoys running just as much as I do.
On 6/12/09, I hope that I can help some of the first time runners to achieve their targets. Also I hope that by running alongside them, they will have the motivation to excel in their performance and not give up at any point of the run.
Happy running….
